The Edam Earrings are crafted from locally sourced reclaimed stainless steel. We love stainless steel for its durability, hypoallergenic properties and ability to maintain its appearance over time without the need for plating.
Why do you use stainless steel instead of sterling silver?
We choose stainless steel for its durability, comfort and practicality. It's highly resistant to tarnishing, requires very little maintenance and is hypoallergenic, making it ideal for everyday wear. While sterling silver can oxidise and develop tarnish over time, stainless steel maintains its appearance with minimal upkeep. It also provides the strength needed to create the bold, sculptural forms that have become a signature of Days of August.
Are the Edam Earrings suitable for sensitive ears?

Days of August orders are packed in a beautiful reusable pouch, and in a thin box to protect your new piece. Most orders are shipped out within 1-5 business days.

Orders are shipped with Australia Post. You will be provided with a tracking number.

INTERNATIONAL
We ship worldwide at a flat rate $20 for Standard Shipping and $36 for Express, both with tracking. Transit times are dependent on international flights and custom wait times. Current international delivery time frames can be viewed via the Australia Post website.
If your order arrives and isn't quite what you expected, we will happily exchange or refund your product for something else within 7 days of your items being received. The items must arrive in perfect condition, unused, and in their original packaging.
Return shipping and shipping of new product is to be covered by the purchaser.
Please note: We unfortunately don't offer exchanges or refunds for items purchased from our sale section.
Damaged in transit:
We meticulously make your jewellery by hand and carefully package them ourselves. If an item arrives broken or damaged, contact us within 7 days of receiving your product and we will replace it free of charge.

We have absolute faith that our products will stand the test of time.
If your piece breaks, we will replace or repair it at no charge, no matter how long ago the piece was purchased.
The purchaser will need to cover cost of shipping of the item to and from us, or drop it off at our studio, or at an in person event.
Get in touch with us if one of your pieces ever needs a repair.
If you ever lose a single earring, do not despair! You don't need to order a whole new pair. We can send you a single!
They are 50% of the cost of the original pair (at the current pricing) and we will need to know which side (left or right ear) you need replaced.
